An Interaction Program Organized by TLMF

An interaction program between visiting delegation from China Center for South Asian Studies (CCSAS), Sichuan University and various think tanks of Nepal was organized on March 27, 2019 by Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation with a view to discuss the prospects, opportunities and challenges of cooperation between the countries of South Asia region and various other issues related to Nepal - China cooperation and relations . The former Prime Minister Hon. Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is also the Chief Patron of Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation, was the Chief Guest of the program while the delegation from CCSAS was headed by Prof. Yan Shijing, Vice President of Sichuan University who is also the Secretary General of CCSAS, Sichuan University. Hon. Madhav Kumar Nepal shed light on the various aspects of Nepal China relations. Vice President of Sichuan University Prof. Yan Shijing, Director General of CCSAS Prof. Sun Shihai and Prof. Huang Yunsong, the Associate Dean of School of International Relations, Sichuan University mentioned how the various institutions in both the countries and think tanks can cooperate in order to foster and strengthen the friendly relations and economic cooperation between two friendly countries. Mr Kesav Badal, former minister and Chairman of Nepal Cooperative Federation, Prof. Dr. Chaitanya Mishra, Chief of Think Tank of Govt. of Nepal, Mr. Hiranya Lal Shrestha, former Ambassador, Mr Tanka Karki, former ambassador of Nepal to China, Mr Yubaraj Sangroula, former Attorney General, economist Dr. Govinda Bahadur Thapa and Mr Him Bahadur Chhetri, General Secretary of Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation also expressed their views on this occasion. Mr Gopal Shakya, former Minister and Chairman of Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation delivered welcome speech.
